Paraboot is the world leader in Norwegian construction.
Principle
The upper is fixed to the sole by means of a welt. Both lines of stitches are visible: the "Norwegian" welt connects the welt to the upper and the assembly insole. Special fine stitching connects the welt to the outsole. It is also possible not to have a welt, in which case the two lines of stitches are sewn directly onto the leather at the bottom of the upper; this serves as a welt.
History
The Norwegian welt was particularly used for mountain and work shoes. Nowadays, it's also used for casual shoes. For the record, the origin of the name remains a mystery but has no connection with Norway.
Advantages
This solid and flexible mounting technique both makes the shoe waterproof and resoleable. In addition, the Norwegian welt creates an assumed sportswear look. From a purely technical point of view, the advantages of the Norwegian welt are comparable to those of the Goodyear welt.
From the manufacturing of soles to packaging, running through leather cutting, stitching, assemblying and finishing, no less than 150 manual operations are required to make these shoes. As many steps as in 1908, at the formation of the company

All our parcels are sent via DPD recorded services that are tracked and will require a signature on arrival. We will endeavour to process orders placed before 12pm for the same day dispatch. Many of our orders will arrive within 24 hours but depending on the time of your order and its destination in the UK it may take up to 5 days.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY.
The cost of postage will be dependent on the area we ship to, please check your cart for specific price. However most common destinations are as follows:
- Orders sent to EU countries will be sent in 4-7 days for £20.00 *
- Orders sent to the United States will be sent in 5-7 days for £35.00 *
All international orders are sent via Royal Mail, when your item has been despatched you will receive a tracking confirmation via email.

Tax and VAT
All prices on our site are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of European Union sales tax (VAT) where applicable.
For the Remaining Countries outside the EU we are not responsible for any taxes that you may incur. Please check your end before placing your order.
Any duties payable will be the sole responsibility of the customer and may need to be paid at the time of delivery.
Please note: If you would like to return your order, custom fees will not be refunded.

RETURNS
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your online purchase and wish to return it please return to the address below.
You have 14 days from the date you received it to return. However, during the Christmas period we may extend our returns policy.
For a full refund, please make sure you return the item unworn and in its original packaging with all the labels intact and accompanied by your original web order receipt.
We are not able to refund until the goods are received back and inspected.
We will issue a full refund to the card used or payment method when placing the order. Please allow up to 10 days for a full refund from the date we receive the goods back (although it is normally processed within 3).
